The Board of Trustees receives and administers gifts given to the Church in memory of or to honor an individual. The gifts can be either unrestricted or directed to be used for a particular purpose. The Trustees deposit the gift in a separate account that is not used for operating expenses. In the case of gifts given without a restriction, the determination of how it will be used is made by the Church’s Administrative Council. Recent uses have been for hymnals, sound equipment and a computer projector that is used during church services.
Gifts can be made by check written out to the New Paltz UMC and mailed to 1 Grove Street, New Paltz, NY 12561, or by using the online giving link. When giving by check please enclose a note detailing who you are giving in memory or honor of and if the gift is to be used for a particular purpose.
